Sunidhi first got involved with Ycities (the parent company of Turtleboat) when she enrolled in the bootcamp challenge in 2023. The challenge involved fleshing out an idea to help the visually impaired community. As she moved through various levels of the challenge, she developed key skills in leadership and entrepreneurship. Specifically, she learned the art of reasoning the viability of her ideas, decision-making regarding the prototyping aspects, and communicating with mentors and angel investors. That same year, she won the challenge with her project, the SmartCane, a navigational technology designed to help visually impaired travelers navigate airports more easily. Her SmartCane was selected to be spotlighted at the 3D Experience World conference held by Dassault Systèmes in Nashville, Tennessee. As she began actively prototyping, she and her team were able to refine the product and make it more accessible within their communities, such as in airports, museums, and mass transit locations. The ultimate learning came when they were able to present the idea to Massport for market-scale adoption.
By 2024, her path led her to work more closely with Vicky on her project, Turtleboat. What started as a boot camp evolved into an asynchronous platform that allows students and innovators to explore entrepreneurship at their own pace. The mission resonated with her, and in 2025, she partnered with Vicky to bring Turtleboat to Acton-Boxborough as a chapter. Having realized that these are the skill sets that students need to supplement their academic education, she is motivated to share this with her fellow high schoolers. Guided by Vicky, she launched Turtleboat’s very first chapter (The AB Innovation Lab), to provide a platform and online community for young innovators to grasp the process of launching their ideas to market. With this chapter, she is opening doors for anyone who wants to step into the world of entrepreneurship. For her, this work isn’t just about startups or technology. It’s about building a community where creativity meets action, and where new ideas can grow into something that serves people in meaningful ways.

Shubham became involved with AB Innovation Lab through his deep interest in scientific research and project development. Over the years, he has worked on a variety of Python-based projects and explored various datasets, fueling his interest in the real-world applications of technology. One of his primary interests lies in the use of Artificial Intelligence, especially its potential to support doctors and healthcare organizations in areas such as disease detection and system optimization. Alongside his technical interests, he has a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and economics. Through AB Innovation Lab, he hopes to help others bring their ideas to life and contribute to meaningful, lasting change in the world.
